The Austrian country report [1,225 KB] has now been published. Austria is a country with a long tradition of domestic biomass production and use. This report shows amongst others how the trade of several woody biomass fuels (fuel wood, waste wood, wood chips and wood pellets) and liquid biofuels for transport (biodiesel) has developed over the past decade, and that in many cases traded volumes are substantial compared to domestic production or consumption. And of course, a comprehensive overview of biomass resources, support policies, main actors and biomass prices is provided.
