ETA Florence since 1994, with a multidisciplinary team consisting of more than 20 experts, has played an important role in the planning of renewable energy systems and supplies consulting services and assistance to national and international entities and organizations, businesses, and private and public administration in the following sectors:

• bioenergy
• photovoltaics
• solar thermal energy
• wind energy
• desalination
• integrated projects
• international cooperation

The experience of ETA Florence consists of a vast range of activities, from research studies and energy planning to design and realization.

Through participation in several international projects in renewable energy, ETA Florence has developed a wide network of exterior consulting experts in the specific sectors of activity in the energy field with which effective collaboration is realized.

ETA Florence has been a member of IEA Bioenergy Task 39 “Liquid Biofuels” and is actively involved in numerous research and technology transfer programs and initiatives based upon renewable energy on a national and international scale, including many in the photovoltaic field:

• Cooperates with ENEA and Politecnico of Milan in Task 10 “Urban Scale Photovoltaic Application” PVPS program, sponsored by the International Energy Agency and coordinated nationally by the Italian Grid Services Operator (GSE);

• Participates in several European Commission projects, including PV Enlargement for the technology transfer and the promotion of Photovoltaic’s in Europe and in PV Publish, for architectural and technical advice for integrated PV systems in public buildings;

• A founding member of the Agenzia Fiorentina per l’Energia (Florence Energy Agency), which promotes initiative for developments of renewable energy, through informative and educational activities;

• Contributes with its own staff to the organisation of the EU PVSEC - European Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conference and Exhibition, www.photovoltaic-conference.com.
